In a digital spring, are pixel flowers still beautiful?

In awe of the bounty of life bursting all around me, I attempted to capture the bright colors and vibrant diversity of spring in its many flowers. Everywhere I looked on my morning walks, verdant scenes erased all memory of the long, gray winter. Capturing something as beautiful as a new bloom in springtime warranted pristine detail, tight shots with a macro lens, high contrast and dripping dew drops. But what if it didn’t require any of that? Would it be possible to still find the beauty in an “ordinary” shot? How far could I push this measure of image quality?
